Why this campaign exists
A smallholding worked the same way every season returns the same thin margin every season. The way out is rarely more land — it is a better crop choice, lower input costs, and a second income from the same holding.
What we do
Mission Agriculture provides training to farmers so they can grow more valuable crops and earn from more than one line at a time.
- Organic crops — growing without chemical inputs, which lowers cost and reaches a market willing to pay more
- Cash crops — choosing and raising crops that return a genuinely higher value per bigha
- Vermicompost — producing compost both to enrich a farmer's own soil and to sell as a product in itself
- Mushroom cultivation — a crop that needs very little land and gives a return through the season
